About David
David is a second-generation Chinese-Peruvian American who grew up speaking Spanish, eating dim sum, and doodling under the coffee table. He calls the Bay Area home, believes empathy builds strong teams and finds creativity most rewarding when collaborative.
He studied Visual Communication at San Francisco State University while working as a jack-of-all-trades creative and social media manager/marketer at Ineffable Music.
Currently, he works as an art director at Ready State, where the Anthem Awards have recognized his roles in purpose-driven client projects in 2024 and 2023 in the "Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion" category.
His past includes coaching rock climbers and working with Golden Age hip-hop groups and international reggae stars. Nowadays, when he’s not refilling a coffee cup at home, he can be found hiking, discovering new restaurants, and camping in Colorado.
In 2023, David started Steady Studio LLC to connect with his community and share over 12 years of creative and social media marketing experience with small businesses.
